Who is the Master Chief?
Any Halo player is familiar with Master Chief. Our beloved silent space marine Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 (Yes, that is his full name) makes an appearance in all the Halo games as a central figure at the forefront of the war against the Covenant and is rumored to be the last lone survivor of the declassified SPARTAN-II project. If you don’t know who he is, you clearly haven’t played enough Halo and we’ll leave this article here until you’re ready to appreciate it – but you should hurry, the helmet is limited edition.)
Master Chief’s concept artist is witness to everything we love about the silent chief that lets us apply our own personality to the game: “He does his job, walks off, doesn’t even get the girl, he’s that cool he doesn’t need her.” All we can say is if you love Halo and aspire to be cooler than ever on your bike… this is the helmet for you.
Thought I’d shoot my way out, mix things up a little

Interior Features
The Master Chief motorcycle helmet may not be the quietest motorcycle helmet, but it does have the features most riders including myself look for. It has a contoured center pad with a moisture-wicking material that allows heat to dissipate from the top of the scalp. The cheek pads are dual-layer to provide a comfortable fit and both the center and cheek pads are removable and can be washed. The interior is spacious and allows enough room to wear eyeglasses which is always a nice feature to have.
Exterior Features
The helmet has a double D-ring chin strap for retention and secures with a snap mechanism – the same closure mechanism fitted to most off road and ATV helmets we recommend. The design includes front air intakes that help reduce fogging and includes rear exhaust vents for air to flow out. The shell is strong and covered with a UV-protective coat. While the only down side to the helmet is the non-changeable visor that can’t be removed or replaced – the helmet is not customizable.
Few game characters come with the reputation of the Master Chief, SPARTAN agent. Now we can all sport his space-marine helmet on our daily cruise. Shut up and take my money!

HJC Marvel Unisex-Adult Full Face Helmet
If Halo’s not quite your thing, this novelty Spiderman helmet is a great DOT-approved contender. This helmet definitely warrants further inspection if you like Spiderman!
Ironman Motorcycle Helmet
Perhaps Ironman is more your cup of steel. Another fun example of DOT-approved motorcycle merchandise gear is the Ironman helmet from HJC helmets. The helmet has a great design with a Marvel badge and Starkz Industries branding painted on the rear sides to really grabs attention. A great built in feature is the one-touch integrated sunshield and a strong composite shell for a fraction of the price of the Master Chief helmet.
TRIANGLE Motorcycle Full Face Helmet
This helmet from Triangle has iconic Biohazard symbols in bright green or pink printed along the side. It doesn’t reference a particular brand and it’s not really a novelty item but it’s sleek and sexy. The helmet is a steal and all-around affordable while boasting all the features of much pricier helmets including DOT safety approval, advanced ABS shell with high-pressure thermoplastic technology, top and rear ventilation extractors and a double PC anti-scratch visor – an awesome choice if your wallet is looking thin.
Scorpion Covert Helmet
Ride under the cover with this covert helmet by Scorpion. It looks like a modern day jet fighter pilot helmet built for motorcycle riders looking for that dark and mysterious image. A perfect helmet to go with any leather jacket. No doubt this gives off the look of some scary hiding underneath. The aerodynamics are super sharp. Fully DOT approved and double D ring chin straps. The best part, this helmet comes complete with a 5 year warranty!
What to Consider When Buying a Motorcycle Helmet
We have gone into considerate detail when it comes to the key considerations in our other articles, but to summarize: It’s not unusual for riders to have more than one helmet – after all, helmets are a fundamental part of staying safe on the road and carry the huge responsibility of protecting our noggins everywhere we ride.
It’s important that all helmets are DOT-approved, meaning that they adhere to the legal requirements for on-road use.
A good quality helmet has features such as an anti-fogging visor and good ventilation to ensure reduced air intake, in addition to a strong outer shell, impact-absorbing inner liners and a trustworthy retention system (usually a metal clasp or D-ring) to ensure that the helmet stays fastened in cases of impact. It’s not worth taking a chance with open- or half-face helmets, if you happen to like your face at least.
Think about your budget and the features that are most important to you and do your research with those points in mind. Helmets do have optional features such as built-in UV protection and Bluetooth integration so shop around and see what you can get for your money.
Halo Motorcycle Helmet: Final Thoughts
